Spring 2 2025 Round Up

GH Spring 2 Newsletter

As we come to the end of Spring Term, it was wonderful bringing our students together for their end-of-term conferences. These valuable sessions allowed us to celebrate achievements and set thoughtful targets together with our young people and their support networks.

Our cooking workshops were a tremendous success! Students developed culinary skills and nutritional awareness while working toward accreditations. One student remarked, “It was good to sit down with all my teachers and talk about what’s going well.”

As we head into the Summer Term, we introduce our financial literacy program, teaching essential budgeting and money management skills through practical workshops. Activities will include coastal walks, bouldering, and football training.

As we have been growing and expanding we’re thrilled to announce the opening of new education and exam rooms, along with enhanced therapy spaces. For students 15+, we’re expanding vocational pathways to include Hospitality and Health and Social Care, with employer partnerships providing supported work experience opportunities.

The Greenhouse has also got some great news and events coming up.  We’re proud to be shortlisted for the Diversity & Inclusion Champion Award at Edufuturists Awards 2025, recognising our commitment to creating inclusive educational environments through our personalised curriculum.

To celebrate our triumphs and student achievements, on May 6th at Storyhouse, Chester we invite all to our free event: “Hybrid Support: Rethinking Education for Young People in Care.”

To find out more about our event and everything that we have been doing this term, please read more in our newsletter.
