Choosing Respect
The message of “choosing respect” invites us all to make a conscious decision to value and appreciate the differences in others. It reminds us that, though we come from diverse backgrounds, we all have the power to choose respect in our interactions. This theme encourages young people and adults alike—parents, teachers, and community members—to set an example by creating environments where everyone feels safe, supported, and valued.
