Anti-Bullying Week 2024

Anti Bullying

As we begin Anti-Bullying Week 2024, running from 11th to 15th November, it’s time to focus on this year’s important theme: Choose Respect. Organised by the Anti-Bullying Alliance (ABA) in England, Wales, and Northern Ireland, this week-long campaign is all about raising awareness, fostering understanding and encouraging positive actions to prevent bullying in all its forms.

As a leading training and education provider, our resources are here to help gain a better understanding of all kind of topics and here you can find more information around this week and tools on how cyber bullying, mental wellbeing and more.

Choosing Respect

The message of “choosing respect” invites us all to make a conscious decision to value and appreciate the differences in others. It reminds us that, though we come from diverse backgrounds, we all have the power to choose respect in our interactions. This theme encourages young people and adults alike—parents, teachers, and community members—to set an example by creating environments where everyone feels safe, supported, and valued.

A key highlight of Anti-Bullying Week is Odd Socks Day, which will take place on Tuesday, 12th November. While wearing mismatched socks might seem simple, it’s a fun and meaningful way to celebrate what makes each of us unique. Odd Socks Day encourages everyone to embrace individuality and reminds us that our differences are something to be proud of. By wearing odd socks, we send the message that standing out and being ourselves should be celebrated, not criticised.
