What is trauma and PTSD?
There are 3 lessons within this course, each with tasks, videos and quizzes. You can also download the learning materials for activities. Within these lessons we will explore what trauma is and how the brain reacts to situations that are seen as traumatic. The more understanding of how our brain works in these circumstances will help individuals know why they feel certain ways and helps us identify coping mechanisms.

How it works
Go through each lesson one by one. If you are logged in you can view the lessons but you can only view your progress and take the final assessment if you have enrolled and pressed start. Each lesson is in bite size chunks, with interactive quizzes, videos and downloadable worksheets throughout. - Using a school metaphor, learn the different parts of our brain and what they do to process trauma
- Learn the different ways our body reacts to trauma through flight, fight and freeze
- Learn how to notice is PTSD is affecting you or others
Each lesson has interactive elements to help you learn better whether you learn best visually, by listening or doing, with a quiz at the end of each lesson.
