Education, with each individual in the centre

Our process may be the same but we tailor each plan around the student and it all starts with getting to know them.  Our baseline ensures we correlate and extract the most important information to create a picture of who the student is, the driving motivators, challenges and barriers.  We use this information to produce a detailed person-centred progessive and preventative plan.

HyFlex, short for Hybrid-Flexible, is our educational model that combines a variety of environments and learning experiences. We use this approach to accommodate diverse student needs and learning styles. By offering flexible environments and pathways, HyFlex allows students to engage with content in ways that best suit their individual circumstances and tap into the professionals they need, whether it’s teaching, therapeutic, guidance, careers and much more.

For children with complex needs, this flexibility is crucial, enabling tailored learning plans that adapt to each student’s baseline and goals. The model empowers staff to adjust teaching methods, schedules and assessment criteria to support varied learning paces and abilities. This personalised approach helps bridge gaps between current skills and desired outcomes, allowing for short-term flexibility while maintaining focus on long-term educational objectives and curriculum adaptation.

We have a state of the art, accredited education centre where we want our students to feel comfortable and welcome.  Here we provide one to one and group teaching to help in individual studies and to encourage the social aspect that schools have to offer. With regular workshops around PSHE subjects and digital skills, this hub is a place to enhance current skills and develop new interests.

With our online platform, our students are granted accesses to all the lessons and resources.  All learning material are designed by professionals into bite sized chunks with interactive aspects, to encourage micro learning and to not overload.  This platform helps teachers and students plan their independent and home work, with a trackable and reporting feature to store all certificates and rewards.  With this platform. students can learn in their own style and time and way and teachers can use this to teach lessons.  Having this all in one platform helps students and staff have relatable and consistent content to use.

Our outdoor learning approach prioritises movement and wellbeing, recognising their crucial role in education. We develop personalised routines and techniques to manage wellbeing and boost productivity through movement. Our coaches and teachers focus on individual passions, aligning them with the curriculum to make physical and mental health both important and enjoyable. This active, holistic and therapeutic approach aims to create the right mindset for fulfilling educational experiences and build on outdoor interests.

We have recognised that a significant portion of a student’s life may occur without schooling or involve frequent transitions. We focus on building trust and stability by training our staff to work effectively with children in their homes and collaborate with guardians. This approach aims to develop confidence, social skills and routines through small, manageable steps. Ultimately, this foundation supports a gradual transition to other learning environments, ensuring continuity in education and personal growth.

Starting point

Let’s start your journey

Working with our team of teaching, therapeutic and behavioural experts we look over all relevant information on each student individually, such as EHCP, reviews and profiles, where appropriate.

Starting point

Paint a picture

We then work with the child/young person on who they are as a person.  This is done through various ways, depending on the individual whether it be face to face, online, through a trusted adult.  We aim to know who they are as a person, their passions and interests and how they feel about education.

Create education plan

With all the information gathered, our team will conduct the baseline for each individual that will encompass their educational, social, behavioural and emotional starting point.  This will form the foundation of their educational plan.

Work with the students

Based on the individual short and long term plan and goals for each student,  they will be given a progressive and flexible timetable and begin their journey with us.

The timetable will incorporate core projects (projects of interest, based around core subjects), workshops and and wellbeing activities (sessions that will encourage social interaction, wellbeing and discovery) and extracurricular opportunities (where the student gets to pick topics f interest to them and a chance to develop and experience opportunities around them).

Review process

Each student has a regular review process, which looks at their current educational plan and markers to see if it needs adapting.  As professionals, we know not every journey is smooth sailing, so we adapt each plan based on the wellbeing and progress of the student.

Outcomes

We have two main outcomes for our students:

  1. Re-engage with education.  We want people to discover their potential and with our combination of core subject and life skills learning, combined with wellbeing and skill building, we want students to be empowered to find their own path and see how education can help them there.
  2. Qualifications: whether with us or in another setting, we want to prepare sutdents for gaining the qualifications they need to help develop their pathway further into work or college.  With our transition and guidance mentors, we encourage students to reach their potential and navigate the world of qualifications.
Our next intake of students is in January 2025. If you want more information or want to register interest, please follow the link below
